Are you a commercially savvy procurement professional with strong strategic and stakeholder engagement skills?

We’re looking for 2 Procurement Business Partner to join a dynamic, fast-paced public sector team on a full-time, 6-month contract with possible extension based in Darwin.

About the Role

As a Procurement Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in leading and supporting end-to-end procurement processes to deliver value-for-money outcomes in line with internal frameworks and governance. Reporting to the Category Manager, you will support complex procurement activities and provide strategic advice across various categories including construction, goods, and professional services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert procurement advice to internal stakeholders and support the preparation of quality market approach documents.
• Drive procurement strategies and lead commercial negotiations to support effective supplier selection.
• Maintain procurement records, ensure compliance, and prepare detailed performance reports.
• Monitor market trends and contribute to procurement policy and strategy development.
• Influence and support strategic procurement planning and process improvements.

Who You Are

You’re a proactive and experienced procurement professional with:

• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation capabilities.
• Proven experience in managing procurement activities in either construction, professional services, utilities, or administrative services.
• Ability to identify process improvements and contribute to procurement governance and policy.

Desirable (but not essential)

• CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification.
• Experience working in or alongside government agencies or the utilities sector.
