TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The ICT Project Manager will be responsible for the following activities: 
  • Manage the delivery of ICT solutions to business units as directed by the Senior Manager, ICT Projects and Change
  • Develop the required project documentation as per the ICT project lifecycle and methodology as directed by the Senior Manager, ICT Projects and Change /or Project Board
  • Work with business units, vendors and ICT support staff on developing business processes, functional documents and technical documents to support system changes.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water's safety and environmental policy, safety principles, corporate values and behaviours.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

The ICT Project Manager will require the following skills, knowledge and experience:

ESSENTIAL

  • Extensive experience in ICT project implementation and management, including project planning, budget management, project schedules, risk management, resource management, vendor management and quality assurance.
  • Experience in delivering technical ICT/OT solutions including enterprise systems through a standard development lifecycle.
  • Experience in delivering projects using PRINCE2 methodology and/or agile methodology.
  • Demonstrated capacity to successfully deliver ICT systems in a challenging environment involving multiple vendors, service providers, stakeholders, mandated timeframes and budget constraints.
  • Strong planning, problem solving, organisational and analytical skills with the ability to remain focussed on outcomes and to adjust delivery mechanisms to meet deadlines and customer needs.
  • High level strategic, conceptual and analytical skills including successfully translating complex requirements into succinct and meaningful design and scoping documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of written and oral communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and information transfer at all levels.
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team, -oriented, collaborative environment with the ability to accommodate changing and competing priorities and varying timelines.
  • Experience managing projects in a utility industry.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in PWC/NTG A knowledge of PWC’s operational environment and IT project methodology
  • Knowledge, and application of, cyber security standards and frameworks applied within the energy sector and industrial control systems (AESCSF and IEC62443)
  • PRINCE2 Foundation Certification
  • ITIL V3 Certification
  • Experience managing projects in a multi-utility or other industrial environment.
