All Aspects Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Forestry Mentor to join a meaningful project supporting Indigenous Australians in the Tiwi Islands' growing forestry industry. Based at a remote forestry site on Melville Island and operating on a FIFO roster (Monday to Friday, camp-based), this role is the critical transitional link between Tiwi participants and real employment outcomes created through partnerships with key industry players in the timber sector.

The Role

  • Providing culturally safe, proactive, and approachable mentoring support to project participants and employees
  • Building strong rapport and connection with Tiwi participants to encourage attendance, engagement, and completion of training
  • Fostering a Safety-First culture and transferring practical WHS knowledge and understanding
  • Advocating for and representing the benefits of careers in the timber industry
  • Attending and representing the project in meetings with key stakeholders
  • Administering all project information and documentary evidence for reporting to the funding body
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date data records and using the Microsoft Office suite to a high standard

About You – Essential Criteria

  • Sound understanding of the challenges facing First Nations workers in remote community settings
  • Proven ability to influence and support First Nations workers to reach their potential
  • Proficient Microsoft Office IT skills, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent organisational, coordination, and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a calm, adaptable approach
  • Current NT Driver's Licence (manual preferable)

Desirable Criteria
