Position: Senior Property Officer 

  • Full Time Ongoing position
  • Base Salary: ($79,903)
  • Superannuation: 14.5%
  • Based in Darwin
  • Other allowances under the enterprise agreement (district allowance, leave loading, annual airfare)
  • Relocation allowance payable in addition to relocation approx. $2,961 – taxable

    Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Property Officer to lead a small team managing a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties across urban and remote communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing property team aligned with their values and strategic goals.
  • Oversee property leases, facilities contracts, and repairs/maintenance across multiple sites.
  • Build strong relationships with Traditional Owners, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and support property-related procurement, risk, and WHS initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support culturally safe people management practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Property Management and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of property legislation, especially the Residential Tenancies Act.
  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skills.
  • High level of cultural awareness and commitment to ethical, confidential service delivery.
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence, willingness to travel remotely by 4WD or light aircraft.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities and/or managing projects in remote areas.
